We offer a variety of membership options:

          Residents of Old Orchard Beach, any child enrolled in the school system and any teacher teaching in the Old Orchard Beach schools are eligible for a free membership. When coming in to get a library card please bring a photo id and proof of residency (i.e.: phone bill, electric bill, or some other form of legal proof of residency). If your driver's license has your Old Orchard Beach address on it that's all that's needed. Please call the library if you have any questions about what might work as proof of residency if you don't have a driver's license with your Old Orchard Beach address.

          Temporary residents (seasonal rentals) are eligible for membership for a fee:

                    3-month               $15.00
                    9-month               $20.00
                    12-month             $25.00

CIRCULATION POLICIES:

                    Movies/DVD's - circulate for 1 week only. -- NO RENEWALS!!! They are not to be returned in the book drops outside, please bring them in to the    
                    library.  Videos/dvd's have a $1.00 a day late charge for late returns. There will be a $1.00 fee in addition to any late fees for any video/dvd that is
                    put in a book drop. There is a limit of three (3) movies per household.

                    14-Day "New Release" Books - circulate for 2 weeks (14 days) and are non-renewable unless otherwise noted.

                    Book in stacks - circulate for 2 weeks (14 days) and may be renewed for one additional period of two weeks.

                    Magazine Back Issues - circulate for 2 weeks (14 days).

Lost or damaged items:           Retail (replacement) cost + a $2.00-$5.00 processing fee
