We offer a variety of membership options:

          Residents of Old Orchard Beach, any child enrolled in the school system and any teacher teaching in the Old Orchard Beach school system are eligible for a free membership. When coming in to get a library card please bring a photo id and proof of residency (i.e.: phone bill, electric bill, or some other form of legal proof of residency). If your driver's license has your Old Orchard Beach address on it that's all that's needed. Please call the library if you have any questions about what might work as proof of residency if you don't have a driver's license with your Old Orchard Beach address.

          Temporary residents are eligible for membership for a fee:

                    3-month (Summer resident)                       $15.00
                    9-month (Winter rental)                            $20.00
                    12-month (Year round non-resident)           $25.00

Circulation Policies:

Movies/DVD's circulate for 1 week only. -- NO RENEWALS!!! They are not to be returned in the book drops outside, please bring them in to the library.  Also, there is a limit of three (3) movies per household.

Books circulate for 2 weeks and may be renewed once either in person or over the phone. (Exception: 14-day books cannot be renewed).

Circulation Limits:

Adult residents - may take out as many as 20 items at a time with the following item limits:

Students (High school) - may take out as many as 10 items at a time with following item limits:

Temporary non-residents - may take out as many as 5 items at a time with the following item limits:

                    14-day books                4
                    Audio books/CD's          4

Children - may take out as many as 5 items at a time with the following item limits:

OVERDUE FEE SCALE:

All videos/DVD's                                                        $1.00 per day
Adult new items                                                        10¢ per day
Regular fiction, non-fiction and all juvenile items         5¢ per day
All interlibrary loans                                                   50¢per day

Lost or damaged items: Retail (replacement) cost + $2.00 processing fee
